Flotex from Bonar Floors

Flotex is an attractive and completely unique high performance floor finish that is both water and wear resistant like a smooth floor covering, yet has the warmth, slip resistance and sound-absorbing properties of a carpet.

Electro-statically flocked with over 80 million upright nylon fibres per square metre, Flotex is dimensionally stable, exceptionally durable and resistant to crushing, retaining its appearance year after year even in the heaviest traffic areas.

A feature of its construction is that soil is easily released through ordinary vacuuming and because of the ease of removing allergens, Flotex has been approved by the British Allergy Foundation. Thanks to its nylon fibres and waterproof backing, when intensive cleaning is required, Flotex is completely washable.

All Flotex floorcoverings are treated with Sanitized®, a highly effective active antimicrobial agent which offers consistent protection against bacteria including MRSA and E.coli and moulds such as athlete's foot. Sanitised also helps to prevent the development of stale odours. These features mean that Flotex is an ideal flooring solution for public buildings such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and schools, in addition to general commercial areas, hotel foyers, airports and other heavy traffic areas.
